This is the vision for what I hope OCWU
to become.
If you would like to help, please email

- We will organize the course materials to let a user go
though and learn a comprehensive chain of skills.
- We will draw as much as we can from what is already
published under creative commons and the public domain.
- We will fill in gaps with our own tutorials where needed
and be open to CourseWare submitted by Universities, Governments,
Corporations, and Individuals
- We will allow our own materials to be shared freely under a
creative commons license, so long as they attribute their work to us
and share their work as we do.
- We will provide access to those learning tools that are
made freely available, such as GraphCalc, and OpenOffice.
- We will, if none already exists, develop a tool for people
to create effective tutorials for others.
- We will establish a user database, where people can sign up
for accounts, track progress, and track courses they have developed and
worked on
- We will establish an Internet forum, allowing people to
ask/answer questions, explain theories, and discuss how to improve ocwu.
- We will imitate the look and feel of a college website,
incorporating humor into our seal, motto, and all publications
- We will offer admission to all. Anyone who clicks on a link
labeled "Admissions" will be presented with a letter of acceptance from
our Director of Admissions, Rutheford B. Hayes.
- We will publish a newspaper in the style of The Onion to
inform the public about social life, research, and mascot changes at
our campus in [insert random town name here]
- We will have the following organizational structure:
- We will offer admission to the graduate school based on
the merits of what CourseWare and course editing they have contributed.
-Masters candidacy will be offered to regular or significant
contributors and allow them greater power in editing, as well as the
opportunity to assist administrating a specific course and moderating
the attached discussion thread.
- Doctorate candidacy will be offered to those who have
fulfilled their duty to both administrate their course and moderate
their discussion thread. Doctor candidates will be given full
administrative and moderation powers, as well as membership in the
department forum which discusses new courses, courses for deletion, and
masters degree candidacy.
- Those whom the administration notices, will be offered
positions within the administration of the department, which will have
moderation power in the department forum.
- anyone can view the department forums. a parallel
forum, which anyone can join, will be set up to discuss and suggest
department policy, although this forum will have no formal power.
- A person can attain degree candidacy in as many courses
and departments as he or she can devote time.
- we will recieve funding somehow, and pay members of the
administration something
